SEAVIEW ARTISANS
In August 2022 Seaview Studio was joined by a talented group of artisans and opened the studio, house and garden as part of Hampshire Open Studios.

The public was able to see a working stained glass studio, meet the artists, commission work and buy unique, handcrafted art by this diverse group.
There was a feast for the eyes with photography, metal sculpture, ceramics, glasswork and silver jewellery and a feast for the tummy with delicious cakes to enjoy in the sunshine.

Seaview Artisans will be back in 2024 so watch this space. Meanwhile Seaview Studio will be exhibiting at GAF (Greyladyes Arts Foundation) see the main events page for details

My925designs
I'm Lauren Wileman, the designer and creator behind my925designs; a small artisan brand of wearable and affordable sterling silver, fine silver and bronze jewellery. Based in Hampshire, I have studied silversmithing for over 5 years part time, to help develop my knowledge, skills and techniques and to support my love of silversmithing and jewellery.
My style combines simple designs, shapes and textures with natural gemstones, sea glass and pearls to add subtle colour to my pieces and to compliment the often delicate metalwork. Much of my work is made entirely by hand using traditional silversmithing techniques including sand casting and stone setting, alongside the modern method of creating jewellery from silver clay. Where possible, any unwanted or unused metal is recycled and re-formed into new, wearable pieces!

My work is inspired by the ability to capture and preserve memories, places and nature in my jewellery and in a way that is often personal to the wearer. My passion for silversmithing, life-long love of jewellery and meticulous attention to detail enable me to create high quality, well-made and unique pieces.

NS_Sculpture
Hi, my name is Nathan and I live in Gillingham, Dorset. I am a metal fabricator specialising in bespoke steelwork for the wedding and events industry.
Like many, the pandemic in 2020 severely affected my business, but the down-time allowed me to combine my love of metalwork and nature. My artistic journey started when I built my mother a small bird sculpture from some old unloved cutlery for mother's day. After building a few more for fun and sharing images online I soon found a demand for my creations and have since been regularly selling sculptures online and receiving commissions for my work.
I continue to explore and develop my passion for sculptural work by creating unique pieces from steel and stainless-steel, using reclaimed and repurposed items where possible. My work is heavily inspired by the natural world, but I am also starting to take inspiration from different sources.
I have been fortunate to have collaborated with Jo from Seaview Studio on a number of projects allowing us to fuse the fragility of glass and the strength of steel into some truly unique pieces.
Rob Dove Photography
I am Rob Dove, a Landscape Photographer based in Hampshire. Always trying to capture a moment of the beauty in the landscape, creating an emotion with my photographs and reliving moments and memories.
I also specialise in digital art which from my images, I like to reproduce an art effect using post processing techniques, and to introduce my wall art collection, a mixture of fine art from contemporary to peaceful and serene images.
A landscape photographers life can be quite solitary, often walking and hiking many miles just hoping for that one shot. I do like to travel and just trying to catch a fleeting moment of beauty and a story to tell.

Seaview Studio
I'm Jo and the face behind Seaview Studio. I create original glass art from my studio in Netley Abbey, Hampshire. With both the coast and the New Forest on the doorstep my work is influenced by the nature in my surroundings, my long career in the marine industry and my love of the sea.
Working mainly to commission I create interior and exterior sculptures, windows, panels and wall art. My pieces are a fusion of glass, metal and foraged wood. Each glass piece is inspired by the wood, structure or space it will inhabit. Glass choices compliment the designs encompassing beautiful bubbles, streaks, striations, patterns and colour fades.
I love a creative and technical challenge, pushing the concept of traditional stained glass while ensuring that all my work is constructed to the highest quality and built to perform.

SLK Ceramics
My name is Sarah Kaplan, I live in Hampshire with my husband and beautiful pooch Gracie.
I started ceramics after taking a throwing taster course with my husband at a local pottery studio and instantly fell in love. I have always been a creative and expressive person, but I never imagined I would enjoy making ceramics as much I do.
I love all parts of the making process and find it extremely therapeutic and relaxing. I go into my studio almost everyday, even if it isn’t to do anything but look at some of the things I have made or am in the process of making. I am delighted to be taking part in Hampshire Open Studios.
Kyla's Cakes
I'm Kyla, I live in rural Wiltshire with my two beautiful dogs and husband. I love baking, especially creating light, towering layer cakes for celebrations, filled with delicious buttercreams and conserves. Choosing flavour combinations which are full of punch and with a few added extras, they are the perfect, tempting treat!
